WHAT IS ACT 101 AT DE SALES UNIVERSITY?
ACT 101 provides students who have outstanding leadership and academic potential an opportunity to succeed at DeSales University. Full-time students engage in close working relationships with professional staff members to reach their academic, personal, social, and career goals. Individual staff members work closely with each ACT 101 student to establish and accomplish these goals throughout their four-year experience at the University.
WHAT SUPPORT SERVICES DOES AN ACT 101 STUDENT RECEIVE?
- A 3 1/2 day intensive college readiness program in August
- Skill testing in Writing, Reading, Study Skills, Math, and Freshman Issues
- Assistance in securing financial aid from all available resources
- Career counseling, internship assistance, and résumé development
- Professional tutoring in Reading, Writing, and Studying
- Peer Tutoring in any subject that is needed
And you may actually qualify for additional aid by participating.
HOW DO STUDENTS QUALIFY?
Eligibility requirements include:
- Pennsylvania residency, eligibility for PHEAA funding and full-time student status
- Financial eligibility as listed below:
