Show hosted by Lockwood Phillips on talk radio stations that target a five-county region in coastal North Carolina featured comments from DeSales students Vince Coglianese, '08, and Alison O'Brien, '08. Coglianese and O'Brien shared their thoughts on the Heritage Week event held Thursday, January 25, at DeSales with Newsweek religion editor Kenneth Woodward. Woodward addressed "Finding Common Ground on Religion and Journalism." They also discussed an editorial O'Brien submitted to The Morning Call on the State of the Union Address given by President Bush earlier in the week. Phillips acknowledged the importance of such valuable opportunities for students. He praised DeSales for providing students with a first- lass education and for producing students who are good observers and critical thinkers.
