The Main Stage Theatre is the primary performance space for the department. It is a contemporary, proscenium facility with an extended apron. The auditorium seats 473 in an orchestra and balcony arrangement. The stage house features a trapped stage and a t-track counterweight system with an auxiliary pinrail. The proscenium opening is 37'-10" wide and 18'-0" high and the stage is approximately 38' deep above the plaster line. The grid is 42'-0" above the stage deck, and the wingspace is approximately 16' deep on stage right and 29' deep on stage left.
