Do I need to open a local bank account?
Not necessarily. There is an automatic teller machine in the DeSales University Center; a Wells Fargo ATM near the campus store. You can continue to use your hometown bank. However, there may be a surcharge, depending upon where you bank. If you prefer, you can open an account with a local bank. Representatives will be on campus on move-in day.

Is it possible to cash checks on campus?
Check cashing is a privilege granted to students, faculty, and staff of the University. Personal checks of no more than $35.00 may be cashed in the Campus Store at the checkout counter during regular business hours. DeSales work-study checks may be cashed on each payday and the day after.
