DeSales to Hold 19th Annual Golf Tournament, Mon., June 11

DeSales University will hold its 19th Annual Golf Tournament at the Brookside Country Club on Monday, June 11, 2007. Representatives from Lehigh Valley area businesses and organizations will be participating. Proceeds from the event benefit the DeSales University student financial aid program, which helps deserving students who might not have other resources meet the costs of their education. Last year's event netted $93,000.

The title sponsor of this year's event is GCA Services Group, Inc., of Conshohocken. Chairman of the event is Andy Scott, of the Scott Dealerships in Allentown.

Members of the golf tournament committee include: Vice Chairman Anthony Auteri, M.D., of Stelzer Cornell Taus & Auteri Gastroenterology Associates, P.C., Allentown; Marc Albanese, of DeSales University, Center Valley; John Bassler, of KNBT, Bethlehem; Wendy Body, of Alvin H. Butz, Inc., Allentown; Jim Bova, of Campbell Rappold & Yurasits, Allentown; Tom Groves, of The Equinox Agency LLC, Allentown; Gary Iacocca, of Yocco's, Inc., Emmaus; and Jim Kinek, of GlaxoSmithKline, Macungie.

Also, Bill Kuplen, of Alcom Printing, Harleysville; Jeff McGeehin, of Valley Builders, Emmaus; Gene Nosovitch, of West Park Insurance, Allentown; Tom Roberts, of Harbor Lights Financial Group, Allentown; Joe Smith, of Active Care Network, Allentown; Ed Topper, of Topper Marts, Inc., Allentown; and Dirk Wetherhold, of Capitas Financial International, Bridgeport.

Tee times for the tournament are 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Entry fees include: cart and green fees, driving range, putting green, breakfast, lunch, cocktails with mini-raw bar, dinner and on-course refreshments.

In addition to men's and women's prizes, gifts, and contests, there will be a raffle drawing for a free trip to Almond Resorts in either Barbados or St. Lucia, compliments of Travel Impressions, of Bethlehem.

Breakfast will be served 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and cocktails / dinner at 5:30 p.m.
