Core Courses
Completion of the MSN core courses is required of all students seeking the MSN and MSN/MBA degrees. These courses should be taken prior to or concurrent with the Advanced Core courses, and prior to the Specialty and Clinical courses. Core courses include:
- NU 512 Nursing Theories in Practice - 3 credits
- NU 513 Application of Nursing Research - 3 credits
- NU 514 Christian Ethics in Practice - 3 credits
MSN/MBA
Courses toward the joint MSN/MBA degree are offered through both the Department of Nursing and Health and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program. MBA Core and Health Care Support courses follow core courses in the MSN Program. Finally, a sequence of clinical practicum with an additional Capstone Course completes the degree requirements. Specialty and Clinical courses in the MSN/MBA Program are:

- HC 503 Legal Aspects of Health Systems Management - 3 credits
- HC 504 Quality Management for Health Care Systems - 3 credits
- HC 505 Principles and Strategies for Managed Care - 3 credits
- HC 506 Community Assessment and Health Planning - 3 credits
- HC 507 Contemporary Issues in Health Care Policy - 3 credits
- HC 508 Management of Information and Communication Technologies in Health Care Systems - 3 credits
Specialty and Practicum Courses
- NU 624 Nursing Administration Internship - 7 credits
- CR 510 Capstone Course "Policy and Strategy" - 3 credits
