Ethics Initiatives
Faculty and students in the PL-TH department have the opportunity to collaborate with the Salesian Center for Faith & Culture in the operations of its various partnership institutes, which deal with ethical issues in specific fields of endeavor. Descriptions of these programs are given below, along with links to more detailed information.
The society is comprised of scholars and professionals who explore the mutual and dynamic interchange between science and religion. The primary focus of the group's work is the investigation of contemporary issues in bioethics, with a view toward promoting critical discernment on the values of human life.
The Forum consists of local business leaders and professionals who come together for study, reflection, conversation, and action on ethical issues affecting the corporate world and the role of business in society.
Initiatied in 2011, the Thonon Group is a society of media professionals that supports public dialogue about ethical issues in the realm of social communications, especially in the field of journalism.
