Associate Professor of Philosophy
Dr. Loughlin joined the faculty of DeSales University in 1999 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2004. He holds a doctoral degree from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Loughlin currently chairs the work of the Philosophy and Theology faculty.
His scholarly work in philosophy has been published in Mediterranean Studies, Nova et Vetera, and The Thomist. He also serves on the editorial boards of Catholicae Veritatis and Nova et Vetera.
Dr. Loughlin also spearheads the work of "The Aquinas Translation Project" - a web-based project which seeks to provide scholars, religious and any interested individuals with translations of St. Thomas Aquinas's works not readily available in English.
At DSU, Dr. Loughlin organizes the department's "Communio Circle." He also contributed to the founding of the DeSales University Center for Discernment in 2008-09 and remains active in its work.
