National Security Track

Students interested in entering careers in both the public and private sectors dealing with national security issues will take courses in national security, terrorism, and intelligence.  We have a national security club, that invites speakers from the intelligence community, take field trips and offer internships to such places as the Institute of World Politics in Washington, D.C.  There are opportunities to attend symposums at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C., and the Strategis Studies Institute at the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  If you are interest in working in the intelligence community, here is a link that may be of interest to you:  http://www.afio.com/14_careers.htm

Pre-Law Track

For those students interested in going to law school, we provide a pre-law track in Political Science.  Students graduating from DeSales University have gone on to receive law degrees from Dickinson, Georgetown, Harvard, Notre Dame, Stanford, Villanova, among many others.  DeSales University has the St. Thomas More Pre-Law Society and the Mock Trial program.
