Adjunct Lecturer in Theology
Having completed his service in the U.S. Army Reserve, which included tours of duty in Kuwait and in Iraq, Fr. Plaushin returned to Center Valley in January 2007. Here at DSU his full-time work is serving as director of emergency preparedness planning. He occasionally teaches in the department.
Fr. Plaushin entered the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in 1981 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1989. Among his Oblate ministries was his work as director of the DeSales Service Works (a lay volunteer organization).
Fr. Plaushin published an article on Salesian spirituality and combat in Review for Religious (2007). He also has contributed op-ed pieces to The Morning Call newspaper.
