Fall 2008 "Wednesday in the Commons" Series Brings Variety of Cultural Events to DeSales The DeSales University Cultural Affairs Committee has announced the Fall 2008 schedule of events for the Wednesday in the Common series. All programs, unless otherwise noted, will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in McShea Student Union at DeSales. The programs are open to the public free of charge. The Wednesdays in the Commons series, established in 2005, offers a variety of multicultural events. This semester, the series will feature Lehigh Valley storytellers, the Argentinean tango, hot topics of the presidential debate, a Native American pow wow, and poetry, among others. "The goal for the Wednesday in the Commons series," said Linda Zerbe, dean of students at DeSales, "is to bring cultural events to the university through efforts of the faculty and student affairs."
