At DeSales, we're deeply committed to ensuring our students' easy access to the latest advances in technology. By doing so, we can provide both the highest quality academic experience for students while they're here and better prepare our graduates for ongoing success in the working world as well. During the 2008-2009 academic year, with the help of a $478,000 grant, an exciting and key component of our "smart classrooms" endeavor was fulfilled. All of our classrooms were upgraded to the latest audio visual and computing systems― and that's just the beginning. We also aquired mobile technologies: an interactive whiteboard, a high-definition videoconferencing unit, and Apple® wireless computers. These technologies will help make sure our education majors are prepared to teach in other "smart classrooms" after they leave DeSales. All of these innovations are complemented by newly expanded wireless Internet access points.
