DE SALES TV / FILM STUDENTS LEARN EQUIPMENT IS KEY TO PRODUCING GOOD CLASSROOM SHOOTS, TUES., NOV. 11
DeSales TV / Film students will conduct classroom shoots for their cinematography and production classes and learn first-hand why good production equipment is essential to the success of any film or video project, when they use the lighting and grip equipment on a 3-ton grip truck from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, in the baseball field across from Billera Hall.
Based in Ambler, Pa., Location Lighting, Limited is the leading rental house in the Philadelphia area and Eastern Pennsylvania. The truck will be brought to campus by the company's owner, Brad Shapiro, an accomplished photographer with over 35 years experience as a director of photography. Shapiro has shot film and video worldwide for use in commercials, broadcast TV, documentaries and corporate projects.
The event is made possible through the DeSales TV / Film Visiting Artists grant from the Dexter F. and Dorothy H. Baker Foundation.
For more information, please contact John Bell, chairperson of the DeSales University Performing and Fine Arts Department, at ext. 1480.
