DeSales University is proud to offer students the opportunity to receive an annual scholarship award for participation in the Choral Scholarship Program.
General Information
Through the Choral Scholarship Program, eligible students may receive an annual scholarship for participation in the University's choral program. All students on choral scholarship are required to participate in the University Chorale, except theatre majors, who may only participate in Liturgical Choir. Students on choral scholarship may also audition for membership in Schola Cantorum and Liturgical Choir, in which they must participate if called upon to do so. Admission into the Choral Scholarship Program does not guarantee acceptance into select ensembles, which are auditioned separately at the beginning of each school year. Eligibity
Incoming and prospective students must audition before February 5, 2012 in order to be guaranteed consideration for a financial award for the 2012-2013 academic year. Depending on the circumstances, an interested student may still be considered for an award after February 5, but should contact Mr. Durham to inquire about his or her eligibility.
Current students may audition at any time, depending on the availability of financial awards. Eligibility will be considered on an individual basis. Theatre majors are only eligible to receive awards to participate in the Liturgical Choir.
NOTE: Any student who receives a full tuition scholarship to the University is ineligible to receive additional choral scholarship funds.

Application & Audition Information

- The primary choral scholarship audition date for incoming students will be Saturday, February 4, 2012. An individual audition may be scheduled at an alternative time if a prospective student is unavailable on this date.
- In order to be guaranteed consideration for a financial award for the 2012-2013 academic year, incoming students must audition before February 5, 2012.
- Complete the Choral Scholarship Application and bring it with you to your audition.
