We help good students to become even better students
The Academic Resource Center provides both professional and peer tutoring for all traditional students as well as ACCESS students on a limited basis. Our Professional Writing Coordinator provides individual assistance to students in all areas of written expression. Our Coordinator of Reading and Disability Services works individually with students with and without disabilities who seek guidance in the areas of reading comprehension, time-management, study-skills, assistive technology, etc. Peer tutoring is provided at no charge to traditional day students in most subject areas. Peer tutoring takes place both individually and in small groups. Peer tutors are recommended by professors and are paid through Federal Work Study or Institutional Employment Funds.
Also housed in the Academic Resource Center is the Gateway To Success Program, which provides more intensive and intrusive academic support to students who qualify.
Students with documented physical, psychological, and/ or learning disabilities may request accommodations through the Coordinator of Learning and Disabilities Services. Please click here for more information.
