The Office of University Police, Public Safety and Security is responsible for security and law enforcement on the campus of DeSales University. All students, employees, and visitors are encouraged to report all incidents, emergencies and crimes directly to this department.
The vice president for administration, finance and campus environment is responsible for this office which is supervised by a director who organizes and staffs the department in accordance with guidelines of the Campus Association of Law Enforcement Administrators. The director and staff of the Office of University Police, Public Safety and Security are committed to enhancing the quality of life of the entire DeSales University campus community.
The members of this department work in the following four divisions: University Police, Public Safety, Security and Parking Authority.

- University Police
University police provides many services including criminal investigation, motorist assistance, an escort service, a 24-hour victim hotline, self-defense training (R.A.D.) and crime prevention education. Examples of emergency situations handled by University Police include harassment, suspicious package/letter concerns and medical emergencies.
- Public Safety
Public Safety Division is primarily responsible for fire and health protection across the campus.
- Parking Authority
The Parking Authority is responsible for the enforcement of campus parking rules and regulations.
- DeSales EMS
DeSales EMS is a student-run EMT organization on the DeSales University campus. The organization responds to all campus medical emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the normal academic school year.
