Normal academic progress means that a student passes at least 24 credits from one fall semester to the next and advances to the next class level (based on number of courses, not credit hours):
- Freshman - fewer than 8 courses completed
- Sophomore - at least 8, but fewer than 18 courses completed
- Junior - at least 18 but fewer than 29 courses completed
- Senior - at least 29 or more courses completed
Both normal academic progress and acceptable academic standing are necessary for continued financial aid. Please note that 40 courses are needed in order to graduate from DeSales University. For more detailed information, visit General Requirements for Graduation.
