The Outsourcing Dilemma, Topic of Program Hosted By DeSales MBA Business Association, Wed., July 28
The outsourcing dilemma will be the topic of discussion at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, in the Kresge Lounge of Billera Hall at DeSales University. Jyotin Sachdev, a business adviser and Fortune 500 communications and customer service expert, will be the guest speaker. Sponsored by the DeSales MBA Business Association, the program is open to the public free of charge.
During his talk, Sachdev will discuss free trade versus protectionism and also provide some background on India and South Asia, including history, culture, current geo-politics, and the business and economic environment of the region. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.
A specialist in customer service initiatives and business process re-engineering, Sachdev is an accredited executive associate of the Institute for Independent Business (IIB). The IIB is an international, not-for-profit organization committed to helping small- to medium-sized businesses address and resolve specific business problems.
Sachdev strongly believes in aligning business processes with customer requirements and expectations. His recent leadership role in managing multi-million dollar global account relationships has earned him the respect of customers, such as Cisco, Avaya and Sony. He also successfully managed process alignment partnerships with Motorola and Hughes Electronics that provided faster time-to-market for the customer's products.
A subject matter expert of the Customer Value Added program, Sachdev's work with critical business process improvements and customer service initiatives earned him a Bell Laboratories President Award for Innovation and Technical Excellence.
Sachdev earned engineering degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology and Lehigh University, and also received an accelerated MBA program certification from George Washington University. He is a member of The Indus Entrepreneurs, American Society for Training and Development, and a registered professional engineer. A native of India, Sachdev came to the United States in 1968, and currently resides in the Lehigh Valley area.
